RecipeFetch Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Metrium AI Pty Ltd (ACN 701 291 438) (“we”, “us”) for the use of the RecipeFetch app (“the App”). By creating an account or using the App you agree to them.
1. What the App does
RecipeFetch uses artificial intelligence to convert publicly available cooking videos and recipe web pages, at URLs you choose to submit, into structured recipes (ingredients, steps, estimated nutrition, and allergen indicators) for your personal use.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Subscriptions, trial and tiers
- Free trial: new accounts can extract up to 7 recipes within 30 days of sign-up.
- RecipeFetch Pro: an auto-renewing monthly subscription (price shown in the App at purchase) that allows up to 15 recipe extractions per calendar month. Unused extractions do not roll over.
- After trial or subscription ends: you keep access to your saved recipes with reduced functionality (“Basic”); extracting new recipes requires Pro.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account, depending on the store you installed from. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your App Store or Google Play account settings. Manage or cancel anytime in those settings; the App includes links to do so. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
- We may change prices or quota limits prospectively with notice in the App; changes apply from your next renewal.
4. Content and intellectual property
- Third-party content. Recipes are derived from content owned by their respective creators and publishers. We do not claim ownership of source videos, pages, or images. The App displays attribution and links to the original source; thumbnails are shown only as previews alongside that attribution.
- Your submissions. You choose which URLs to submit. You agree to submit only publicly accessible content and not to use the App to infringe anyone’s rights.
- Extracted recipes. We grant you a personal, non-commercial licence to use recipes extracted through the App. Recipe facts (ingredients, quantities, cooking steps as facts) are not themselves protected by copyright, and the App’s AI paraphrases rather than reproduces creator text; nonetheless you must not use the App to republish or commercially exploit creators’ content.
- Takedown. If you are a content owner and believe the App handles your content improperly, contact recipefetch@metrium.com.au and we will respond promptly, including removing cached extractions of your content on request.
- The App itself (software, design, branding) is owned by Metrium AI Pty Ltd. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or resell it.
5. Acceptable use
You must not: use the App with automated tools or attempt to bypass usage limits; interfere with or probe our systems; submit URLs to unlawful content; or resell or redistribute the service.
6. AI-generated content
Recipe content — including ingredient lists, quantities, instructions, nutrition figures, and allergen indicators — is generated by AI and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or wrong. Always use your own judgment and refer to the original source video or page.
7. Nutrition and allergen disclaimer (read this)
Nutrition values are AI-generated estimates, not measured values, and are provided for general information only. Allergen indicators are AI-generated and must not be relied on if you or anyone you cook for has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement — always verify ingredients yourself against the original source and product labels. The App does not provide medical, dietetic, or health advice. If you have a serious allergy or medical condition, consult a qualified professional.
8. Availability
The App depends on third-party services and source websites we do not control. We do not guarantee that any particular URL can be extracted, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that cached recipes will be retained. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Sections 4, 7, 10 and 11 survive termination.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law; where our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited (where permitted) to re-supplying the service or the cost of re-supply. Subject to that: the App is provided “as is”; we exclude all other warranties; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated recipe, nutrition, or allergen information. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and AUD $50.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of New South Wales. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the App and apply from the stated effective date. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the App, but may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary as required by the App Store rules.
